Starting a project

I am Zafar Habib, an educator from Pakistan. Since 2002 I have been working on educational software. I think that use of technology in education can make education better, interesting, comprehensive, cheap and easy. Though in the developed countries they are doing a lot on educational software but I have some different ideas and my software work is also different. As  a teacher of Pakistan I had to address the problems of Pakistani students first and then do what could be beneficial for the students all over the globe.Since the start of 21st century more and more people in Pakistan wanted their children to go to English Medium Schools. More and more English Medium schools were being established.  As the Govt saw the people running towards English medium schools they also started English medium classes in Govt schools. In our colleges science subjects biology, chemistry and physics have always been taught in English. English medium teaching means that the school students had to learn Maths, science and  social studies in English. The Government didn't realize the problems that the students and teachers were going to face and so after a couple of years they had to abandon English Medium teaching in Govt school and now they are again teaching in Urdu. English as a subject always has been a problems for the students in Pakistan. The main cause of this is that they don't teach English. The students have to learn some stories, letters and essays by heart. The English medium schools just teach the students to read science and others books in English. What does a particular sentence means is not told or taught. Questions and their answers are prepared in shape of  'notes'. The students learn them by heart and write on the answer sheet in examination. I found English very interesting and thought of using computer to teach English and other school subjects. I wasn't an IT man so I started learning visual basic (vb6) to achieve my aims. After two years I was able to design applications and after seven years I had done so much work that was sufficient to satisfy anyone who understood teaching. I contacted the Govt but the IT personal I met didn't take much interest in my work. One of the reasons was that the Govt schools had no concept of teaching through computer. As I have always been confident of my work so I continued working on my project. I have been sharing my project on facebook and some appreciate my work but most don't understand it. Now I am contacting the international educators to tell them about my work.
